So last night Kanye West debuted what may or may not be a new single in 66 countries in 6 different continents by projecting videos on different buildings. Illuminati conspiracy theorists will eat that up. The song is supposed to be aboutpeople becoming modern age slaves to materialistic things and how people are more interested in following the norms of society than doing their own thing. Interesting song and smart marketing at the end of the day.

What I find interesting is that with the exception of music I find Yeezy to be one of the main people that falls into this whole “new slave” thing. He is a very materialistic person in my opinion, obsessed with wearing overly expensive designer clothing just so people can say he’s such a “trendsetter.” Maybe I just believe that people people who aren’t concerned with “The Man’s” views don’t need to wear a $1000+ pair of pants. Hell even though Kanye only wears like black and white now I guarantee you it didn’t come from the damn thrift store and I guarantee part of that comes with him wanting to keep up with an image. New slave. Don’t even get me started on Kim Kardashian a.k.a. the woman who went on a shopping spree because she didn’t want her boyfriend to look bad by having a girlfriend who was on the worst dressed list. I’m also sure she’ll be quick to tweet about how much she loves his new song and how creative he is as an artist when she’s one of the main people he’s talking about.

I’m sure when people interview him about this he’ll be quick to holler that he’s not going to let some corporation tie him down and how he creates his own lane, but I’ll have to disagree with him. I’m sure there’s somebody reading this saying I’m missing the point, who knows, but opinions are always welcomed. ~~Now I’ll wait for Cervantes to express his own opinion.~~
